Some people describe August as the “silly season” in politics and suggest that America will pull out of its dalliance with the ridiculous once the weather cools off a bit and everyone turns their minds back to serious endeavors. We have our doubts. We think that the absurdity will merely don a slightly more respectable outfit and go on with its waltz.
We think it is imperative that thinking people not allow the silliness to go undercover. We need to point out the big lie.
